I believe portrait photography is a space to feel comfortable and be seen as your true self. My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling: attentive, intuitive, and grounded in real presence. Working primarily with natural light and 35mm film alongside digital photography, I create portraits that feel honest, cinematic, and powerful.
Based in New York City, I photograph people in environments that matter to them: streets, homes, studios, offices, etc. These sessions are easy-going and fun, allowing gestures, expressions, and moments to unfold naturally. The result is imagery that reflects who you are, not who you’re expected to be.
My portrait work moves beyond traditional posing, focusing instead on atmosphere, movement, and emotional nuance. Film photography plays an important role in this process — its grain, color, and unpredictability echo the complexity of human presence and memory. Each portrait becomes a record of a moment in time — intimate, intentional, and deeply personal.
I offer portrait photography sessions throughout New York City, including Brooklyn and Manhattan, and I’m available for commissioned and personal work across the U.S.
