35mm Film Personal Branding Session in NYC: Steven’s Classic Law Firm Portraits
When Steven reached out about building the personal branding for his new law firm, I was so excited to hear that he wanted a more artistic approach to the images. Not the usual headshots, but something elegant, including 35mm film, and leaning into texture, grain, and a vintage feel. The intention was to create portraits that feel established, professional, and confident, but also connected to New York City's art and history.
We started at the iconic steps of the New York Public Library, the iconic Astor Hall, and the classic NYC skyline views from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library rooftop. From there, we moved to the Morgan Library & Museum for interiors that echo craftsmanship and history.
The result is a set of personal branding images that feel elegant, and most importantly, polished but not stiff. As a NYC-based photographer working across portraiture and documentary storytelling, I love helping professionals shape a visual identity that feels aligned with who they are, not just what they do.
Steven’s session was about building a brand that feels as established as the city around him.
